First division: Sport Vlaanderen Genk, Kattevennen 15, 3600 Genk
Today Jet Set Leuven hosted the play-offs for the indoor championships 2017 – 2018. 8 teams in Open & Mixed and 4 teams in the Women division all wanted that title.
In the Women & Open divisions, the Gentleladies (Gent) and the Mooncatchers (Uccle) showed their indoor supremacy by pushing both their teams to the finals.
In the BUWIC finals Gentleladies Wit beat Gentlelades Blauw. In Open the young guns of Full Moon kept the Mooncatchers 1 at bay to win their first title (after losing the final last year).
The question whether the Flying Rabbits could repeat this trick from Gentle and Moon was answered in the quarters when the Glory Owls caused the upset by beating the Flying Rabbits Diablade. The other Rabbits also lost their quarter finals to the Freezzz Beezzz, who would go on to comfortably beating Jet Set and Diabolic Heaven, making it their 4th indoor mixed title in a row.
After 4 intense days of Indoor Ultimate, the regular competition has come to an end. Interested in the full results, then go have a look at the FINAL RANKINGS AFTER REGULAR COMPETITION.
However, the tournament isn’t over yet! The top 8 teams of the Open and the Mixed divisions will advance to the PLAY-OFFS on March 11th. There they will be joined by the top 4 teams from BUWIC qualifiers.
In the Open division Full Moon are the odds-on favourites, winning 3/4 game days. However, day 3 has proven they aren’t unbeatable. Biggest threat will come from Gentle Open 1 & Mooncatchers.
Diabolic Heaven started the mixed competition with a 4/4 on day 1. However, they weren’t able to repeat that trick. The Flying Rabbits (day 2), Freezzz Beezzz (day 3) and Jet Set (day 4) all proved that the battle for the mixed title will be fought for until the bitter end!
At the BUWIC, top seeds Jet Set LUV and Flying Rabbits will both have to withstand one of the challenger Gentleladies team to reach the finals.
3 trophies and a lot of medals to hand out, but who will take the crown? Come and support your favourites @ Heverlee on March 11th.
– 12 clubs will be playing at the play-offs (for 20 teams)
– The Flying Rabbits, Gentle & Jet Set each have 3 teams competing
– Jet Set is the only team having a team in each of the divisions.
As November nears, we can leave the BUMOC behind us and start preparing for the next championship: the BU(M)IC 2017 – 2018!
There will be 4 qualifying days involving 54 open & 32 mixed teams and a play-off day with the top 8 of each division competing for the championship crown. Will the Freezzz Beezzz repeat last years double? Will the Mooncatchers strike back with an all-moon Open final? Or will the Flying Rabbits take home their first championship victory? It looks to be a very promising indoor season!

The indoor season has come to an end this weekend. 28 games were played last Sunday to decide which teams would become the 2016 – 2017 indoor champions…
First championship was concluded with a game between Gentleladies and OneLUV. Gentleladies won the title with a 9 – 7 score an intense final.
Directly after the Freezzz Beezzz beat suprise finalist Full Moon 9 – 6 to take their first title of the year with them to Bruges.
No upsets on the way to the final game in the BUMIC. The two teams on top of the championship during the whole tournament meet each other once more in the finals. The Freezzz Beezzz Mixed once again beat the Flying Rabbits Blue (10 – 5) to take home their second title of the year and their 3rd consecutive title in the mixed division.
All games have been played and been rated spirit-wise. LUV-U-2 (BUWIC), Jet Set Gold (BUIC) & OuftiMix (BUMIC) have proven over the last 4 months they master spirit of the game and are gracefully thanked for doing so!
I’ve grouped all final rankings (both games and spirit) at the BU(M/W)IC FINAL RESULTS
to make it easy for you to find them.
A big thanks to everyone who played in the biggest ultimate indoor championships ever seen in Belgium.. An even bigger thanks to everyone who helped me in the organisation (communication responsibles, people who arranged the halls, …) I couldn’t have done it on my own!
This weekend we had the first game day of the (mixed) indoor championships, the youth indoor championships will be played over two days in January and today the subscriptions for the women indoor championships have opened.

In case you would like a quick overview of all championship results for the season 2015 – 2016.
The games have been played, the championships have been decided!
Many congratulations to Mooncatchers (BUIC) & Freezzz Beezzz Mixed (BUMIC) for prolonging their titles for another year. Gentleladies A prevents a total copy from last year by beating the 2015 champions in the finals and wins the BUWIC 2016.
Congratulations to Tabasco (BUIC), Flying Rabbits Sextons (BUMIC) & Flying Rabbits “Boy-Zone” for winning the Spirit prizes!
Mooncatchers are taking the lead in the BUIC after winning 1st division on day 3. After Jet Set Open 1 winning it at day 1 and Freezzz Beezzz 1 at day 2 it promises to be a close call in the play-offs! Will there be a 4th team in the mix?
In the BUMIC the Flying Rabbits Lamplighters score 3 out of 3 and seem to become the top favorite to snatch this championship! However, they’re not invincible because they already lost a game against Jet Set Mixed on day 2… But Jet Set isn’t even sure for a spot in the play-offs yet! Diabolic Heaven Mixed, XLR8RS Mixed, Jet Set Mixed & ULB Team-E Mixed will be fighting a fierce battle for the last two play-off spots!
